How often do you have to wind a self winding watch (dalily? weekly?) & how can I tell when to get it tuned up?
I bought a new Swiss Army Infantry XL Mechanical Self-Winding Watch and it seems as though I have to wind it once everyday or two in order to keep it running. If I don't wind it for more than two days, it'll just stop.
You should not ever have to wind a self winding watch unless you are not wearing it then it will stop once the power reserve runs out.

I, Fred Loveridge Buhler, was born on May 26, 1927 to Alma Herman Buhler and Hazel Selina Loveridge. He met and married Hazel Selina Loveridge who was living on Highland with her parents, William and Martha Loveridge. Dad was a very strong man and managed to lift the car up enough to release Mom and a neighbor, but he suffered a broken arm and several broken ribs. Due to the accident, Dad was unable to work their 160-acre farm and the bank foreclosed the mortgage on their home. In 1931, my parents and a neighbor were in an automobile accident. My father Alma was buying a farm on Highland. Leaving the old house, we moved across the street to a small piece of land that Dad bought.
